South African Artist, Sally Myburgh
Born in Port Elizabeth. While attending Collegiate Junior School went to afternoon art classes at Russell Road Technikon from the age of ten. Went to Queenstown Girl’s High School and studied art until Matric. Enrolled at P.E.Technikon Art School and studied fine art, sculpture, pottery and textile design with Hilton Nel, Jenny Meyer, Neil Rodgers and Professor Podleshuk amongs others. Graduated after three years and enrolled at the Whitehouse School of Interior Design in Rondebosch. Graduated and worked in the textile industry and then in the design department of Vynide (a branch of AECI) in Somerset West with Morne de Wet.
