South African Artist, Heather Grewar
Heather graduated from a four year art teaching course at the Johannesburg School of Art, where the internationally famous artist George Boys was one of her main lecturers.
After teaching at schools and technikons in East London and Durban, they moved to Richards Bay, where she again taught art in schools and opened her own studio where she taught adult and child art as well as speech and communication and piano.
She was a founder member, and later for several years the chairperson, of the Tuzi Gazi Art Society, organising workshops with internationally famous artists such as Chris Haw, John Smith and Anton Benzon. She participated in numerous group exhibitions in Richards Bay, Empangeni, Pietermaritzburg and Wellington.
She later also attended classes with John Smith, Chris Haw and Richard Rennie.
Her art is represented by numerous galleries.
